CAR-145

This course was produced to familiarise learners with the UAE GCAA’s CAR-145, both as an introduction to those new to the material and as continuation training. It was designed to be both simple for continuation learners to check their knowledge and move quickly through the module, comprehensive for those new to the course who need to study every section and engaging for both groups.

The course is a comprehensive study of Section A of CAR 145 and an overview of Section B, brought to life through animation and activities that put the learner at the centre of the various scenarios that comprise the CAR. It presents the user with a realistic scenario in which to put the concepts of the regulation into practice, and in this way immerse them in the subject.

Each topic is broken down into activities that prompt the learner to react to a situation. A correct answer enables them to choose to advance without repeating subjects they demonstrate familiarity with – but new learners and those who choose to will find extensive explanations of each concept presented in the CAR. In this way, both new learners and those with prior learning can maximise the usefulness of the module.

Learning is presented with voice acting backed up with animated visuals – there are no walls of text to wade through. The often complex regulation is presented with simple illustrations, diagrams, and symbols designed to have a consistent visual language, enabling the learner to absorb information visually as clearly as it is spoken to them.

In this way, the module aligns with the full scope of the regulation. Once completed, it can serve as a revision tool to review each point of the CAR until the learner is confident enough to attempt the assessment.
